Christine J. Elliott, LL.B., M.P.P.

Christine J. Elliott received her Bachelor of Laws degree in 1978 from the University of Western Ontario. She was then called to the Bar of Ontario in 1980.

From 1981 to 1984 Christine was the senior investigator for the Office of the Ombudsman of Ontario. She was employed with the Bank of Nova Scotia from 1984 to 1988 in the Head Office in Toronto. She traveled internationally to audit bank operations.
From 1988 to 1990 she was an associate in private practice in Whitby, Ontario.  Christine joined the firm in 1993 and specializes in real estate, both residential and commercial, corporate and commercial law, and has particular interest and expertise in wills and estates, powers of attorney and mental incompetency issues.

Christine has taught business law at Seneca College. She was the president of the Board of Directors of Colborne Community Services, which provides crisis support, case management and residential services to persons with serious and permanent mental disabilities in Durham Region. She is a member of the Parents of Multiple Births Association and the Durham Regional Law Association.

Christine is also a director of the Grandview Children's Centre in Oshawa, which provides support and therapy services to children with mental and physical disabilities living in Durham Region.
